Thank Goodness for the Library!

Just wanted all you ladies to know that the Wake County Public Library isn't going to let me down yet! Just got an email that my "Friday Night Knitting Club" is on hold, just waiting for me to come by and pick it up.

In case you haven't gotten the memo - this month's book is "The Friday Night Knitting Club", as requested by Leigh Ann.

Once we have our due date and dinner date options, I'll make sure to post! Until then, go grab your copies! (Caroline is already on top of things and starting to read!)

Welcome to Cooks N Books!

Welcome to Cooks N Books!

This is a group that will be exploring new recipes, new books, and hopefully help us know even more about eachother.

Here's how it will work:

- If you want to join, simply contribute a book to our bookshelf in the comments. I'll add it to our Shelfari shelf (however, I highly suggest going to Shelfari and set up a shelf so you can keep track of what you want to read and what you have read. Since I don't typically buy the books I read, Shelfari helps me keep track of what I've read.

- From the nominated books, we will randomly draw a book. Then we will pick a date and decide to meet at the home of the person that nominated the winning book. We are going to start out giving eachother 2 months to read a book.

- On the night that the book club meeting is planned, the host will bring an entree, and others will bring a side dish, dessert, or drink. For every dish/dessert/drink everyone will bring a recipe and share with the others in the group. If we are really fun, this can also be a themed dinner :-)

That's the jist of the club. So lets get started! In the comments below, please nominate the book you'd like the club to read.
